This seminar will be taking you through some of the essentials of what to do and what not to do when you discover Japanese knotweed on your site. It will help you understand more about the plant, how it behaves, how to identify it throughout the year, some of the options for controlling it and some of the legislation surrounding those control options.

With Antiquated Systems no longer being an effective method of working, Duty Holders have found it increasingly more difficult to manage their Health and Safety Compliance in the wake of recent Legislative and Financial Pressures. During the Workshop together, we will identify and share common issues, before exploring better processes and procedures.

The law requires clients to make suitable arrangements for managing a project, and maintain and review these arrangements throughout the project, so managing the health and safety risks from asbestos. This seminar will look at CAR 2012 and CDM 2015, and the roles of the client, analyst and removal contractor, in relation to effective communications to ensure the responsibilities of all parties are met.

The evolution and application of 3D modelling within the infrastructure and environmental consultancy sector is resulting in increased economic, social and environmental impacts from its application. This talk will give recent examples of BGS ground modelling for key clients and set this within the context of the BGS national geological model and will also present the results of a recently completed Innovate UK funded project with Keynetix bringing the subsurface directly into the BIM workflow.

Workers should expect a pleasant environment to decontaminate in, with the aid of technology this is possible with the bonus we can manage out the bad decision-making processes the less disciplined workers adopt. Poor decontamination discipline is a big problem in the industry that effects not just the person who failed to follow procedure, it also harms everyone that person meets later that day.
